Dear Mr./ Mss. Editor,

I am writing this letter because I read the editorial about smoking and, as it says to write you our opinions, here comes mine: I totally agree with the idea of banning smoking in all public places.

This law would bring lots of problems to cigarette companies, almost all of them would close down and many people would be unemployed. And this would bring economical problems to the country’s economy.

Although I think it would be very difficult to make this law work in all public places (so that they wouldn’t smoke), it would help many people that want to stop smoking but can’t.

What’s more, it would make streets much cleaner, I mean, there wouldn’t be as many cigarettes on street’s floor as there is nowadays.

Hence, I think it would be beneficial to society to ban smoking in public places in order to improve all people’s health even those who don’t smoke.

Fame

Many people wish the fame because they want to meet others famous people, have money, luxe, ''contacts'', status or fans. So there is nothing wwrong or weird. Unfortunately when this with be ahead the family or welfare. It is the beginning that there is something wrong.

On one hand, to be famous mean have people admire among other things. Obviously, who is looking for the fame expect to be the center of attention, have the fans who want to know what is happening is their life, appear in several television shows and make money.

On the other and, the fame has your bad side. The famous people have to be careful about what they will wear on the street. The paparazzi put on the tabloid any mistake that happened with famous. Not only famous people should have to put up with tabloids but also with who control their life, Quite honestly, famous try to be nice but it is difficult to give personal explications to someone that themselves do not know. They do just to continue be a calebrity.

No doubt be celebrity is not simple. In mean, fame is the summary of patience, lack of privacy and public display.

A letter to a newspaper

Dear Editor

I am writing in response to your article on the legalization of cannabis. Actually, we have to considerate the health of users, social issues and consequences to talk over about cannabis. Not do you have to argue seeing only the medicinal qualities. So there are more things to explore.

No doubt, legalize drugs is an absurd. The results of this attitude will be marginalization, violence and mainly the health risks. This is just beginning of legalize. It is believed that everybody reclaim about this things without legalize. Not only cannabis has the same effects on human lungs that smoke five cigarettes but also cause more cncer than cigarette. On the other hand, cannabis is effective against chronic pain and has potential analgesic effect. Apparently, it is also used to relieve pain in a improve the quality of life of terminally ill patients.

To conclude, there are many reasons why cannabis should not be legalzied. Public systems can spend more money in the future with the recovery of addicts. The number of drug users shots up because maybe cannabis will be more acessible and perhaps cheaper too.

The Fame

Being famous is something that everyone want when is younger. Be kown by everyone, be rich, do movies. But when became older people realize that this isn't what they want. Famous people don't have privacity and their lifes isn't so happy how looks.
Must people think that be famous is what they see in the movies. A lot of cars, freedom to to whatever you want, happy all the times, a lot of friends and be famous for te rest of their lifes. But the things aren't like that.
Famous people have to think a lot before do something because everything they do will appear on the magazines, or tv and they can only walk around the streets with security because crazy fans can attack them.
Fame is something that can bring happy moments and make life easier but it has bad sides too. So you have to see if you want to leave you life behind and live a life without privacity and with gossips, because it is being famous.

Globalization is something that took control of the world and now everybody and everything is moved by it.
Everywhere we go, or everything we do we have to pay for and everyday more and more products , better than the olders, appears and we want to have the newest and the most modern. Everything we do influence us to buy. All the websites we visit, all tv shows we watch, everything. Buy became a necessary thing to life and you are made by what you have , and not by who you are.
It's moving the society to a way of consumerism and more social inequality, but is becaming somehting necessary to live.
But globalization has the good sides too. With it the distance between two people became shorter and culture can be exchanged between people of different countries.
Globalization can be something bad, but it has good sides too, and now we can't live without it anymore.

Heaven or hell?

Nowadays many people are obsessed with fame, because our world seems to turn around the celebritie's life. In most of cases, they want that because being famous means being recognized, and valued, wich means being rich also.
Some people think that being famous is heaven, because they can't see the other hand. Famous is always associated with good things, including the material ones like, ride around the city with a wonderful car, live in a paradise mansion and stay all your day spending in a shop, buying all that you ever wanted, like in films.
It's important to mension that in real life, things can be different. Everyone will know about your life, and what's worse, will give their opinion about what you should or shoudn't do. To be a celebrity you need to be psycologically prepared, and we can see when someone isn't, analyzing their attitudes. It's not difficult to see in gossip programs, famous people losing control with paparazzis, which are always chasing them.

All in all, the fame life can reserve good surprises, including the possibility of live like in your best dream, but sometime you can face situations wich you weren't counting!

People think that being famous is something easy. They think that if you're rich, you don't have problems. Being famous has a lot of positive points that make people think it's easy to be famous.

Normaly people associate being rich and having everything you ever wanted with "heaven". Sometimes it may be. But when you're famous you have to face problems that wouldn't happen if you weren't famous.

When you're famous your life becomes public. Sooner or later you'll be followed by stalkers, making you spend fortunes in security. You can't leave your house without calling attention. And if you can't leave your house without being followed it would be really difficult to make new friends. There're lots of negative points on being famous. But if you can handle them there's no problem.

Being famous is something that you may like or not, it depends on the person. If you're a person that's always relaxed you won't have serious problems. It's up to the person to decide if it's "heaven" or "hell".

We can't live without globalization

Globalization is something that is really present in our lifes. People got so addicted to it that it's almost impossible to live without it. As an example of that, people normaly can't imagine how the world would be whitout globalization. Probably the world would be just like the old days. No telephones, no cellphones, no internet.

Maybe the technology wouldn't be so evolved today, because to evolve something we need competition to show the need to improve something. Nowdays the best way compete with something is advertising your product. With no cellphone or internet, it would be really hard to advertise something.

Also music would be prejudiced, because it wouldn't spread so easily like today. It would be so boring to write this composition without a cool music. And the newspaper would also be prejudiced because it'll be hard to find news to write on it.

That's my opinion. Living in a world without globalization would be impossible for us, since we need it every day.

Heaven or Hell?

Almost everyone wants or wanted to be famous at least one time in their lives. Naturally because we grow up seeing those beautiful artists living their wonderful lives and then we think that this kind of life is all we ever wanted.

Obviously all that money, all that glamour and fame and all those people shouting our name give us the impression that being famous is heaven. You can have everything you want, at least it is what we think. You can buy the best clothes, the best car, the best everything. You don’t need to wait at a queue. You go to amazing parties and meet other celebrities, but does it really worth?

Actually, we just know the “beautiful” part of being famous. We don’t realize that when we became a celebrity our privacy ends. We will have to explain all our attitudes and there will be someone that will criticize them. There will be paparazzi in every place we go, just to take a photo of you. People will always expect something from you, and if you don’t reach their expectations, they will destroy your image.

All in all, being a celebrity, in my opinion, is more like hell. When you are a celebrity you don’t know who are your friends and who wants something from you. This ideal life does not call my attention anymore. I just want to live my life, with nobody expecting something from me or judging me.

The most striking feature of globalization is the presence of global brands

Globalization is a phenomenon that began with the capitalist expansion of the Industrial Revolution, the result of post World War II.
This is a most visible on the Internet, thanks to ease the flow of information very fast. Arose mainly because of new media.

The labor market effects of globalization are evident, with the creation of the mode of outsourcing jobs to countries with manpower cheaper to deliver services that do not have high qualification, with production distributed among several countries, either to create a single product, where each company creates a part, is to create the same product in several countries to reduce costs and gain competitive advantage in access to regional markets.

But there are contradictions regarding the characteristics of globalization that involves increased risks of global financial transactions, with no control on economic stability. Thus, the economic instability that occurs in a particular country, it creates epidemics in the rest of the interconnected countries. These, in turn, are each time more dependent on each other and no longer any possibility of isolation.

On the positive side, the ease with which innovations spread across countries and continents, fast and easy access to information and assets. With the caveat that for the less privileged classes, especially in developing countries, such access is not "easy" (because its cost is high) and will not be fast.

The World Without Globalization, Can You Imagine That?!

Nowadays the world is connected. We can turn on the computer and surf in the internet to see images, news, texts, and learn about the culture and the news of every country in the world. You can even talk with people of other countries, you can make reunions using a webcam with people from your job that are all around the world, you can buy products from many different countries then yours in the internet.

Something that just happened can be on tv like five minutes after it happened, you can "know" other countries in your room and many other stuff. But the globalization is not only good for us, the population, but it's also very good for marketing and business. And I sincerelly just can't imagine how would be our world whitout globalization. With globalization, we have more communication and more information available all the time for us. And not only that. We have fun to. There are music, movies, books, tv shows, food, games. Nowadays if we stop and look at our life we will se that many of the stuff that we like to do, that we like to play, to eat, read or see are from other countries.

However, when you see that many of the things that you have, that you read, see, listen, eat and watch are from other countries, you can also see that in the middle of all these benefits, the globalization can also have a negative point. The compannies have the habit to import so many things from other countries - mainly USA - that this disable the opportunitie of our own country to have some progress not only on economy but in literature, music, cinema. If you stop and look, you'll see, in a book store, for example, that there are much more books of american writers than of brazilian writers. Many people, mainly the teenagers, hear more american music than brazilian. The amount of american movies that are released don't even compare to the small quantity of brazilian movies that are released. Of course that there's a reason for it to happen, that the USA have more money to make better movies, to invest more on literature, cinema, music and other stuff, but if their products continue to be the more consumed, when it will stop and other countries will have the opportunnity to grow? It is good to have an access to other cultures, but this can turn into a bad thing when other cultures, arts and other products that aren't brazilian are the most usual in our country and in our life, making impossible for our own country to grow.

Is there the slightest possibilitey of a drawback?

I believe gobalization is here to stay and there is nothing we can do to stop its progress. One can say there are many disadvantages mainly for the long list of developing countries around the world. Nevertheless, they still have lots of benefits from it.

Due to these days development in terms of communication, globalization has huge impact in every area of our lifes, from economy to leisure, from health to culture. Everything has changed because of globalization, either directly or not.

Shopping is a good example of this huge change! Some years ago, we would have to go abroad to have most imported items. Nowadays we can buy most things we wish from most places around the world. There are websites where you can buy, safely pay and check the delivery status. It is absolutely safe, at least in most cases!!

I have already told you that I have shopped basically everything online, and many things from abroad. My mobile, my e-reader, some books, toys, CDs, even shoes!

Something that thrills me is the possibility we have of reaching everywhere on the globe on the spot, through internet or telephone. Information have become so valuable these days because it is constantly and instantaneously being altered. It is getting difficult to keep up with the news!

The world without Globalization

No internet, no international musics, no international films. These are some examples of what maybe wouldn't exist if there isn't globalization. It's easy, nowadays, to know what is happening with the whole world just by turning on you TV or surfing the net. However, can you imagine how the world would be without globalization?

It would take too much time for someone who lives in Brazil, for instance, know what is happening in another country.

The globalization has changed the whole world, conecting the countries and the people, and made life much easier as you can know other cultures just by watching a programme about it or searching on the internet.

The countries are so conected that bacame really hard to figure out that one day it wasn't like this and a population didn't even know the existence of another one in other place.

Maybe we wouldn't know anything about South Africa or Japan, for example, but one thing is true, we can't live without it anymore.

Globalization: What would the world be like without it?

Our world is totally connected nowadays, something that is happening on another country, even if it's on the other side of the world, is shown to many people in different places at the same moment. There are many good things that came with this process, like the connection between the continents. We can know more about other cultures and use things related to than. In Brazil, as an example, we use clothes, listen to music, watch films and go to places in the same way that some people from another places, and they can do the same with the brazilian's culture. On the other hand, the globalization shows how the world is controlled by the "most powerful" countries, as the United Stated, and it's clear to see because they have influences in almost all the world (music,films,food). I can't imagine how would our lifes be without it, because we've adapted to this kind of life wich ''we live here like we were living there!"

Embarassing situation.

In this year I made a surprise party for a friend, but i didn't called everyone in my class because the party was here, at my house and there was't too much space for me to call everyone in our class. So, after the party, there were some situations where friends of mine that were invited to the party talked about her and then other persons that were closer talked "Oh, the party that you haven't invited me" and stuff like this. Worse then this was a boy who's not even my friend and complained about me with many people because he wasn't called.

Internet equals short distance?

Nowadays, internet have very influence in our routine and in the communication, for sure. With the internet we can speak with people of all the world, we can read the most recent news and we can share our opinnion in many different ways. So, does internet equals short distance? I don't think so. I think it helps us a lot with all the different ways of communication that we have at the internet, besides, internet it's just something a little bit unpersonal, too cold. So, I guess it dependes on the situation. But it's always better to talk to people and visit the places personally, being face to face.

The End? - Marley and Me

In the original end Marley, the dog, dies with a sick in stomach and leave the family sad.
In my end, Marley, before dies, find a female dog and has puppies with it. He leaves the house because knows that will die and don't want to let the family sad.
The puppies born and just one is male and the family appointing him Marley and everyone stay happy.

Belo Horizonte is a city kwown by your bars and restaurants and by your cold weahter. Can be a city that doesn't habe beaches ,but has a lot of other things to do there.
For example, if you want to relax you can go to a lot of squares around the city. There are Praça da Liberdade, Parque das Mangabeiras, Lagoa da Pampulha and a lot of others.
But if you want go out at night and meet other people you can go to Savassi, a neighborhood that offers a varierity of pubs and restaurants. In this place has the area where young people go and the area where the old people go.
And for the last, if you want to learn more about the history of the city you can visity a lot of museums, for example Mineiro where you learn about the Minas Gerais culture, or you can visit Museu da História Natural e Jardim Botâncio da UFMG where you can see the national fauna and flora.
But you can't forgot that is a big city and because of that a lot of people are robbed avery day, so be careful and enjoy the city!

Internet and distance

Internet can be a factor that keep people close, but can be a factor that increase the distance between thenm.
For example, if some friends live in diferents countries, or diferentes cities, the internet can make them stay close because they can talk usingwebcam, orkut, msn etc. , things that they couldn't do without internet because of the distance. But, in other hand, if people live at the same building, or the same house, internet can be a factor that increase the distance between them because it becomes a priority and the family stay in second plan or because it's a easier way to comunicate with people who live with you.
So, people have to learn the limits of the internet and don't give more importance to cybernetic world than to the real world or it will move away people who are close of them.

Favorite number

I started to have a favorite number when I was 10 years old. With this age, I used to sum everything and see numbers in names, words, dates...When something happend with me, I related it with number. I am not sure but I think I started to sum my name and I liked it. If the number was not five or nine, I always thought that something was wrong. So my number favorite are five and nine. I believed that somethings, not everything, was related with numbers. That is why I sum the numbers ''to see'' what can happen. Surelly enough I keep until I was 16 years old. Moreover, I'd sooner mathematics than history. One more reason to sum everything. I read in the internet that nine is the number that brings more luck. Finally, five means independent and sociable.

Internet

The internet is the most important and interesting ''invention'', because it decrease the distance between the countries and people. Who has the internet can do almost all the things in the front of the computer. The celular with internet access is other way to talk, to chat, to send and to talk with someone that is in Japan, for instance. It is too much technology for something so small.
On the other hand, the internet increase the distance. Some people are addict in internet, they just can not live without the computer/internet. They read the news, play games, chat online, buy food and clothers. So they do not ''see the world''. Them life is summed up in the internet. Fortunately, majority is not like that. Anyway, the internet helps a lot and brings more good things than bad things.

Embarrassing situation

Previous year, me and my family were doing a barbecue to celebrate my mother's bithday. The party was very normal. My step father started a speech. He was saying things like how he and my mother met each other. When he ended the speech, we listenned a loud conversation coming from the neighboring house. As we are very curious, we were seeing what was happening. So we decided to stay behind the wall. The neighbor started to say: ''Please, do not do it, I will give you what you want'' with a voice of fear. Next a man said: ''Shut up or everybody will die''. At that time, my mother thought it was a robbery then decided to call the police. Minutes later, police came and raided the house of my neighbor. Surprisingly, when officers arrived the neighbor was staging a play. Me and my family were too ashamed. It was also quite embarrassing.

In the last 30 years the advances of tecnology has made global communication and trading much easier and faster than it used to be when people would send letters and travel by trains, ships and slow cars. However, they can also cause us trouble.

Let’s take the internet for instance. People can buy things, play games, talk to people in other countries, make new friendships, download many things, pay bills, watch videos, study, read books, listen to music and loads of other activities without leaving their houses (most of the times), just using the internet.

Nevertheless, a lot of people don’t have control over time and spend hours in front of the computer while they could be hanging out with their friends or doing something more active like going to the beach and doing some exercise. Moreover, some people use the internet to humiliate or cause trouble to other people’s life sometimes being prejudicial and aggressive.

Therefore, it’s extremely necessary that people control their use of the internet, otherwise it may increase the distance between people and cause them problems in the social and personal life.

Internet

Nowadays, things are much easier: we have mobile phones, cars… basically, technology. And there’s one special thing that make our lives easier: the internet. We can buy and sell things online, check our e-mails, pay bills, talk to friends who live far away from us without paying anything. We can do almost everything using just the internet!
With the internet, distance doesn’t mean anything anymore. It seems that the planet is shorter! People from different countries can talk to each other freely. They can even see each other with a webcam. However, the same thing that is making our planet shorter is making it longer too.
On the one hand people who live in different places can talk to each other and on the other hand people who are in the same apartment stop seeing each other and decide to talk only using the internet! Unfortunately, people stop seeing friends and talk to them just using the MSN. It makes people colder and, actually, creates a communication problem.
The internet brings lots of advantages, but we have to know how to use it. Otherwise, it’s better avoid it.

Internet equals short dinstance

Some people say that internet is the best invention of men, because you can know what is happening with all places in the world and you can get in touch with people of all countries. However, there are some other people that insist on saying that it is not true and people who use the internet are most likely to isolate temselves.

Both are true and it will depends on what people want to do on the internet. If they want just to play online and don't want to do anything else, they will probably isolate themselves from their family and their friends as well. But if they want not only to play online, but also to know other people and get informed about the world and still having a good relationship with their relatives and friends, internet will definitly short the distance between these kind of people and the world.

Visiting Niterói

Niterói is a good place to visit because of the beaches and the historical places. However you have to be aware that there are some places that you should not go, because of the bad things that can happen with you. For this reason we make a list of good places to go and paces to avoid going.

The first place that you should visit is the beach. Itacoatiara is a really nice beach and you can meet new people and make friends. This beach is also well-known because of the 'Pedra Costão', that is a big rock that you can walk to the top and get a wonderful view of the beach. Camboinhas is another beach as good as Itacoatiara but it is more peacefull. As the bus stop is quite far from the beach, people that don't have a car prefer to go to Itacoatiara than walk.

Apart from the beaches another good place to visit is Fortaleza de Santa Cruz that is a historical place and inside of it the military tell the tourists old histories of Niterói and Rio de Janeiro, and it is very interesting.

Although slums are locations where most people would advice you not to go, there are lots of good and kind citizens living there, but also there is a high level of violence, that's why people don't go there. However, if you intend to go to one of these slums, remember not to carry any valuable belongings with you.

And remember to enjoy yourself!

Good places to visit in your vacation at Rio de Janeiro

Who does not like passing a hole afternoon at a beach? I bet no one. So, what is better than Ipanema for that? Beautfull and famous peaple enjoing the sun with swim suits. Not just that, you can have varied dinks and owesome foods. Or you can see the view jumping of paragliding from Pedra Bonita.
At nigth, there is nothing better than dancing at Baronett. Great music and peaple.
For sleeping, Copacabana Palace is the best and famous place. Where all the well-know peaple stay.

How to know if you are ready for becoming a fther or a mather?

For knowing if you are ready or not for a kid, you should adopte a dog.
The firt sinal that you are not ready is never remembering to give food- it is alwais someone to do it or telling you to do it.
You have to nottes if you care to your dog. Like, if he/she is alone you want to go home to stay with he/she. Or if you always want to bring him with you.
An important toppic is patianc. You can ever hit a person, so you can not hit your dog.
You will have to clean all the messy that he does.

What a dog

As usual, i was taking my dog for a walk in the sidewalk. When I took the elevator there was alread two peaples there: a men and a women. Because of that I was carring my dog in my arms. While the elevator was going down, my dog forted out loud. I got all red.
Thanks God it just happen once with me. But she did it too with mom and my sister.

Internet, shorting or making biger?

Internet- a sistem that was developed for shorting the distances and making life easyer and faster. But, does internet realy shots distances?
In cases that peaple live far away from each other, internet it is a good way to cenect them selves. And a long time ago peaple could not do that.
In the other hand, yong peaple in most of the time, is becoming more adept to speack with others using the internet while they could speack face-to-face. In this case is easily to see how far peaple is becoming far from each others because of the internet.
Seeing from the aut side, surelly the world is connect. Messengers, peaple, money... all of thous are connect around the globe. Now a days you can do everything through internet- you can buy anything,you can invest you money, you can see what is happening in a country realy far from yours...
For this things you can say, in the end, that internet has decreased the distances more than increased.

Safe and dangerous places...

There are many good and 'safe' places in Niterói, specially the most visited ones like Mac, that is the symbol of tourism in the city and can count with the police during all day, so I indicate this place as a good and safe one. In my opinion, Niterói beaches, as Camboinhas and Itacoatiara are safe too if you compare as Rio de janeiro ones where people are always victims of thiefs. In fact, the number of steals in the city are growing up each month, and there were many places considered safe in the past that isn't anymore, so I think the only place that left is in front of the police station (but don't move, stay in the policeman's view!). There are many slams in the city, but in my opinion the most dangerous is 'Morro do estado' in downtown because there's always reports about crimes there. Be careful!

Internet equals short distance?

Nowadays, internet is the most easy and fast way to chat with people, even if they're in the other side of the world. If you think about making new friends, know about other culture and news places, this is the best invention in terms of communication already done. On the other hand, this easy way to chat at home isn't so good, because people are thinking individually, and sometimes we prefer to stay at home and chat with friends using msn, orkut to meet them 'face to face'. I have many friends that 'unlearned' how to talk alive to others, because they changed their meeting to online chatting. In my opinion, using internet can be good because you can talk to many people around the world, so in this case, it equals short distance, but if you think about the distance between us, it's increasing the distance!

Internet: short or long distance?

It is not new for anyone that internet has been integrating many countries around the world. People in Brazil can easily talk to somebody who is in Asia, which seamed almost impossible some years ago.

Moreover, with just some clicks, a person can find out a lot about the culture and the language of some places that, maybe, she will never know.

Nevertheless, internet has also brought some problems. People seam to be more distant from each other, even if the person is just across the hall. With all these new technologies, people may have forgotten that physical contact is also extremely necessary.

Therefore, internet is absolutely important and has approximated many people and cultures. However, it has also enlarged distance between people who were closer and it has reduced physical contact.

Favorite Numbers

I don't have a favorite number. Actually, I don't believe in this kind of stuff. I think that there are many things on life that say if something will happen or not, but it has nothing to do with luck or numbers.

In fact, for me, the numbers that happen to appear in your life are just coincidences. If you see a number many times on the same day, you can be almost sure that it's not a sign or anything, it's just a number that, by coincidence, appeared for you.

However, I like big numbers such as 1 million because they remind me of money and that, someday, with a lot of work and effort, I might get it and spend it on many great things.

My favourite number

I really don't have many specials reasons to have this favourite number, I mean... Many people say that " 'x' is my favourite number because I had a especial day in this date, I had 'x' something..." and it goes on. Eight is my favourite number just because I guess it's a cool number. I have a website nickname with this number on it, I frequently "use" this number or a number that have eight in the middle in games like Perfil and other stuff that mix numbers and luck. So, because off that, eight is my favourite number. Maybe I already had eight "something" but I can't remember. I don't really pay many attention to remember these kind off stuff.

Number 7even

My favorite number is 7! Because everything is related to number seven in my life!
It was my first kiss on 7 of october, I have 7 best Friends in my entire life, 7 days of study, the best movie of terror (seven).

Well, I don't know why but my favorite number is 8. There isn't a reason for it, I just like this number. I think that I associate this number with the infinity symbol that is a 'lying' eight, that I really like as well. Actually, I don't like odd numbers and I never had good experiences with them.

If you ask me to tell you a number I'll never say an odd number, and I'm quite sure that I will answer the number 8. (:

Bad luck

I guess I’m a person who likes to do the opposite when the subject is luck. I really appreciate all those numbers that people avoid for bringing bad luck! My favorite numbers – except for number 12, which I like for being my birthday – are the odd ones. And, actually, those are the numbers that people usually say that bring bad luck. Although almost everyone hates the number 13, I really like it! Italian people don’t like the number 17, and I don’t have any problem with that. The numbers 7 and 9, which by the way are known here for bringing bad luck, are welcome too. And it’s not just about numbers: I love black cats! Do I have any problem?

It happened to a friend of mine. He was walking and a poor street boy, probably about his age, showed up and asked for something to eat. My friend said ‘Come here, I’ll buy you a sandwich’ and they ate together. After two days, this friend was walking near the same place and a group of street boys turned up and decided to steal his mobile. When he was giving it, one of the boys said ‘Hey, you are the guy that bought me a sandwich, aren’t you?’ So, the street boys let him stay with the mobile. My friend never stayed so happy for buying someone a sandwich!

Numb3r

My favourite numer is 4.
I think that it is my lucky number because:
-I was born on April
-I started do date my first girlfriend on 4th May
-At school I used to the number 4 for 4 years
-I am the older brother, with 4 years of difference
and have other reasons that I don't remember now.
Every time that someone sais "Say a number" I say 4. I don't know very well why, but 4 is my favourite.

Lucky number

My favourite number is 9, I don't have a reason but i always choose this number and it gives me a good result! I believe that this is a good number to select in games or something like that. (9 is a good mark in test too, but unfortunately it's not common in my life!) Some people say that this number doesn't bring luck, but I believe in the number 13 as 9, so I prefer to thing that all the numbers change their sign acording to the person who believes on them..

Favourite Number

My favourite number is number 5. Why? I don't know the correct explanation, though I'm shure that there is one... Here are some guesses:
->I was born on May(which is the fifth month) 5th- 05/05
->As my name begins with D, most of the times I was the fifth name in the presence list of the class
->I was born at 10:10 pm and 10 is like a "double" 5
->When I was 10, there were only 5 ramaining milk-teet
and other silly reasons which i choose the nimber 5 to be my favourite one.

Oh *hit!

Last year I was dating a girl and we used to send SMS to each other. One day I went to her house and we started doing that, but when I sent my SMS I realized that I had sent to all my contacts of my cellphone. Mind you, for the rest of the day I stayed receving calls from everyone, especially my grandmother that thought that the message was a due to Grandomother's Day. So I had to explain to everyone what happened. My girlfriend and my friends kept laughing at me for 1 week.

Morning Test

You're sleeping. It's a rainy day, one of those when what you most want is to stay sleeping in your bed until it's to late, hearing the rain noise. Then, suddenly, you wake up at 6:00 am with a hand shaking you, and a voice saying "Wake up!". And this is how the best morning of your life begins. Your children begs you that she or he wants to go to the bakery and buy something realy nice for the breakfast. You say no, the children starts to cry. But, you're realy happy and the cry would help a lot making you more happy, so you take the children to the bakery.

Back to your house, she only wants to eat candy and other kind of food's that aren't for the breakfast and you have to stay like forty minutes to make she eat real food. And between that time, you hear cry, the children begging to eat other stuff.

After the breakfast, you have to stay in front of the tv with her, watching stupid tv shows like lazy town and hearing great musicians like Xuxa, Eliana and Maisa.

By that time, what would you be like? Where you going to be about to explode? Where you going to let your kid make mess or destroy your house while you go back to sleep? Or would you stay with a fake smile in your face and sing Xuxa with your kid?

Mustache

One day I was at school and there was a girl that was giving her party invitation. I saw that everyone that had recived the invitation was laughing and I didn't know why. After some days a friend told me that people were laughing because she was with a mustache in the invitation's photo.
Then another friend was so curious that asked her to see the invitation and she shown him. After seeing he starts doing some jokes to me about the girl's mustache.
At the end of the class we were walking at the corridor and he starts doing those jokes again. And he said:
- Marianna, who am I? I'll give you a hint, I have a big mustache in my invitation's photo.

I start laughing and when I realized: the girl was in front of us, and I told my friend this. He was so embarassed that I laugh more.

I don't know if she heard it. I hope not!

My friend discovery

One day I invited my best friend to sleep in my home.

We were happy; wacthing movies, typing messages on msn, video games, all that things after midnight.
Bit by bit my friend was sleepy and I also, so we went to bed.

After a few hours my friend woke up and walk to my kitchen, I saw this and I called her name, she didn't answer me. So, she sit on my TABLE, laugh alone, talking with her alone.

- Fulana, are you ok?- I said.
- Banana- She said

She went to bed again and fall sleep.

On morning...

-Fulana, you are sleepwalker.- I said.
-What?Are you mad?-She said.
I told her the story, she was surprised.She didn't remember.
And a few days she went to the doctor and he confirms that.

So that's the day of my friend discovery.

Racism

Last saturday i went to my granny's house at Rio de Janeiro. When i was coming back home my parents decided to stop at Carrefour and buy some stuff. Unfortunately I was sleeping at the back seat of the car when my parents arived at carrefour. Some minutes later I woke up and realized that I was locked on the car. I tried to press the button that unlocks the door but instead of setting me free the car started to make loud noises, so I gave up. When I looked at the back window of my car I figured out that I was able to leave the car by removing the seats and going to the trunk. When I finaly got there and opened the trunk, that fuc**** alarm started to ring again. I left the car. But when opened my eyes there was a huge man from the security and he said i was trying to rob my parents car (but he didn't know who I was). I had just left the beach at Rio de Janeiro and I was realy black and dirty so I can figure out why he thought I was trying to rob my car.

Candle on fire!

Some years ago my mother come back home from the supermarket and ask me to help her with the bags, she had bought a 'beautiful' decorative candle wich for my surprise had a brand called Lumixx (yes! with double x ¬¬). She was enchanted with that and decided to put it on the dinning table as a 'beautiful decorative object'. When i saw that horrible thing on the living I tried to persuade her to put it on another place, so I said ''Mum, it's so important to stay here, why don't you put it in... your bathroom!" (so nobody would see that). She took the candle and put it in a small shelf in the bathoom. In the middle of the night i woke up suddenly because i thought that there was a light on, so I went of my bedroom and unfortunately I had a bad surprise, there was a (small) fire on the bathoom! It couldn't be worst, there was a towel on fire to! I called my father and he stopped that. After that, we could see that the candle was the responsible for the fire, it was destroyed as some other things that were in the shelf.. My mother sent a letter to the manufacturer saying everything that had happended. Until today she says that it only happended because I said bad thing about the candle.. take care about unknown brands!

Test For Women

As children are really honest, in fact too honest most of times, imagine you are with a group of friends and you took you kid to know them, but when one of our friends that is a little overweight comes to talk to your child, the first thing she asks to you her is "Excuse me miss, but are you pregnant?"
It would be extremelly embarrassing and your friend would be a little bit upset even though we all know that children don't exactly have a sense of right and wrong when it comes to beeing polite.

Test for Women

First situation: Imagine that you’re taking your son or daughter out and meet up your female boss on the street. You both are talking and, suddenly, your child interrupts you and says “Why do you have a moustache if you are a woman?”
So, what would you do next?

Second situation: If you’re walking with your kid and, in the middle of the street, she/he starts yelling and making prank, don’t be embarrassed. Instead, start doing the same thing of her/him. Your kid will probably stop and start acting like the adult, being embarrassed of you.



And well, actually, both stories happened!

Test for women and men

Test for women:

While the mother was taking a shower, her daughter got your makeup. The little girl started to use the makeup in your face, your arm, your belly, then on the walls and everything in the front. Making a wide mess in the house.

Test for men:

In the restaurant, father and daughter are having a funny dinner. Unluckily, the little girl decided to go to the toilet but she did not know go alone. So she implored for the dad goes with her. Unfortunately again, just the bathroom for women are adapted for her and men are not welcome there. At that time, he asked for the waitress if she can help him daughter.

Dog Test: Spread some toys around the house and make a high-pitched noise, as if it was a baby screaming. Your dog will probably destroy the toys, unless you keep it imprisoned. Dogs that stay much time in a room tend to get stressed. If they are also exposed to an annoying sound, they will, presumably, get miserable or make you feel as if you were in hell with all the jumping and barking. After the test, if you could keep the toys and your dog is still happy, then you are ready to have children without having to get rid of your pet.

This situation can happens with both men or women:

You're doing some chores or reading the newspaper when your child comes over you and ask you where children come from. You start to invent lots and lots of histories and get completely embarrassed but suddenly you remember that old history about the stork and how it gives parents the baby that your parents told you when you were a child and you asked them the same question. When you realize that your child believed this umbelievable history as you when were at the same age of he/she you get really satisfied and not embarrassed anymore.

Corporal Punishment- Interview

Presenter: Good morning Niterói. Today we're going to talk about coporal punishment and we have some calls and a phychologist to answer the questions. Let's go to the first call.

First call: Hi, my name is Kim. I'm calling from Rio de Janeiro to say that I'm completely against with corporal punishment, so I would like to know what are the consequences when the child grow up?

Phychologist - Janine: Well, it's always depends, but in general the hildwill probably be a violent person and make the same mistakes of her/him parents with her/him sons.

Presenter: OK, good one! So let's go to thenext one.

Second call: Good morning, my name is Sam. I heard the last interview and I totally disagree. I think the corporal punishment is always the best way to make my son respect me.

Phychologist - Janine: Well, the best way can't be this one. We have another ways to have the respect, as the communication.

Presenter: OK guys. That's enough for today! We'll go to listen a great music now. See you later!(The music begins)

Tests!

Grocery Store Test: Go to the supermarket and try to make a map of that, but you can't pass on the cookie or candy section because it will mean that you're in trouble with your kids as they always want that things! Remember to ''trace your route'' in the supermarket passing on the cleaning and the''green'' section (it doesn't work if your kid is like the chicória's boy) because kids in general don't like that part of the supermarket! Good luck!

Test for Men: Ask your wife to stay all the day out of the house, she need to go out before the kids wake up as fathers usually do. Prepare a small manual with some things that she will say when come back home like ''where's my dinner?; It's all a mess!, why kids are running around the bedroom?''. Make sure your wife had left home (because she cant' help you) and than try to make everything se always do at home with your ''quiet'' children during all the day. Now imagine at 8pm, when your kids will be hungry, the house will be a big mess and suddenly your wife will come back home complaining a lot and sayins that things written on the manual! You will know how mothers are pacient! It's good to think how difficult is to take care of your children and your husband complaining!!

I want to suggest a test for both men and women!

Set up the alarm of your mobile for each 50min, select a ringtone that resembles or is exactly a baby crying and turn up the volume to MAX. Do it for three nights in a row and still keep your sense of humour UP!!
If it's not enough, get dressed to go to work and ask your spouse to surprise you spilling spoiled milk on your favourite shirt...

Women, there is one more for you!! Get dressed with the loosest clothes you have, dress your hair with a very simple pony tail and wear no make up. When a co-worker asks you if you have put on some weight or "years"... Chill out!

Test for woman

Sunday morning you wake up early to take a walk in the park with your baby. And everywhere you walk someone asks you about the baby; what's his/her name, how old is he/she, and other annoying questions!

You are in a friend's party and you don't have anyone to look after your kids so you take them with you. They've brought a soccer ball and you didn't know it. All of a sudden you hear a glass-breaking noise. Everybody runs to see what it was. You hope that it hasn't been your kids' fault, but unfortunately, it has been the older one who did it. Your kids run to hug you and you cant pretend that you've never seen them before. Everyone is mad at you and you have to leave... OMG!

Test For Men: stay all the the day at the garden running , playing football or cycling until you get very tired. Now , go home , take a shower and try to watch tv while a very loud music is playing, and after you can go sleep, but you have to wake up every 2 hours and walk a little around the house before come back to the bed.

Toy test

When you buying a great toy for your child and pay for it , your kid see a toy even better and wept his or hers eye's out to this wonderfull toy! And you don't have any money for it!!!

More tests...

At the Groceries - Grab a soy oil bottle and put it near the cookies. Take a pack of cookies and place it near the fizzy drinks. Get a fizzy drink can, open and drink half of it, leaving the rest near the lettuce. Get an apple and drop it near the beans. When the manager cheeks you, saying you have bad manners, don't get mad at him. Just smile and say: Kids, you know...!



Toy test - Go to a toy store and buy that amazing remotely controlled car or that cute 'baby-like' doll, which will cost you an arm and a leg. When you get house, throw it against the wall to make it into pieces. Then convince yourself that toys are meant to be destroyed!

Grocery Store Test: Proceed to a Grocery Store and let the child go wherever he/she wants, if you hear anything breaking, that's for sure he/she is to blame.



Toy Test: Try to ask for an information in a toy store, while you're getting the information, look around you, the child will have disappeared and when you find him/her, you will see a "million" of toys that he/she has chosen to buy.


Test For Womem: If you are going to have a little party at your home for your friends, try to let the house clean and tidy. Well, you will pass the whole day putting toys in their correct place.



Test For Men: Try to read the newspaper as you're watching the kids. You won't pass the first paragraph.
